Pearls are for aunties? Think again!

Just a short post on what I would wear on a dinner night out with my family. One of my favourite color besides nude color would have to be dusty pink. I just love how this color makes you look feminine with a vintage touch.

Dusty pink chiffon top with pearl details from Spicy Mama, black tights , Oxford shoes, bag from Charles&keith

Put on oxford shoes for that extra vintage feel. You don't have to put on any necklace for this top as the pearls on the top highlights this look to give it a elegant finish.

Comfy X Lazy

When you're up and about hunting for authentic Penang food, it's kind of hard to dress up nicely as there is no aircond in coffee shops. I would go with the comfy & lazy style for times like this. Back to basics with something simple yet neat perhaps?

Plain white T, Beige button up skirt from Cotton On, Pearl sandals from India , Bag from Taiwan.

took a picture with the wall painting at the car park :)

More updates soon. Stay tuned!

Event Dinner

This is an outdated post about my event dinner. Just a short outfit post of what I wore that night. Dress code color for the night was red, black or white. I decided to go for red as I guess I'm into colors and red would definitely stand out compared to black and white.

outfit of the night

Red Toga top from Prangin Mall, Bodycon skirt from Cotton On, Black wedges from Charles&Keith, Bag from Dorothy Perkins.

Just a simple hair-do for that night. Braided my hair across and curled it at the bottom.

Lastly, cheers to my dear readers :)

Sushi Tei

This post is gonna be full of photos that will make you drool. So as promised, this blogpost will be about one of my favorite food and the place I usually go to settle my cravings in Penang. My current favorite Japanese restaurant in Penang goes to.... *drum rolls --> SUSHI TEI!!!!
why? Cause they have excellent service, the food is good and price is reasonable. They used to have this RM8 add-ons for side dishes  which consist of 3 thick slices of salmon sashimi and a plate of sushi whenever you order one main dish. But sadly this promotion is not available anymore. Hope they have better promotional sets soon. ok,let the food pictures talk to you now!

Let's start with Sushi~
Ebi mentai
This is basically mentaiko on prawns. Yes, I'm a big fan of mentaiko!!! If you haven't tried out mentaiko before I guess it's time you do cause one mouth of it and you will never wanna go back to days without mentaiko.

Tamago mentaiko
Japanese omelette sushi with mentaiko on top again.

Kaki Mentai Sushi
gotta say this is the BOMB!!! fresh raw oysters with mentaiko on top! One bite on the oyster and it's juice burst into your mouth blending with the creamy mentaiko. It's a mouthful with creamy & rich flavors bursting in your mouth!!! This is a must try for all seafood lovers like me.

Salmon sashimi

Chawanmushi

Then we move on to Japanese Hot Pot dishes also known as Nabemono.
Kami Nabe with beef slices
This is the Japanese version of steamboat. The difference is the soup is on paper. This dish is more bland tasting with the sweetness of different vegetables. But the whole thing tastes YUMS when you start cooking the beef slices inside. Make sure you don't over cook your beef slices.

When it comes to Japanese selection of noodles, I somehow always prefer Udon over Ramen. So here comes the Udon series. One of my favorite things about Sushi Tei is that you can always opt to change your noodle selection and add more soup for your noodles for free.

Ebi Tempura Udon

Japanese Mushroom Udon
Don't be fooled by the looks of this simple mini-sized-cute-fairytale-alike mushrooms! This dish might look simple with just mushrooms but the soup is just oh-so YUMMY!!! I've tried looking for these mushrooms in our local market but to no avail. :( I think it's imported. I always request for more soup whenever I order this!

Spicy Seafood Udon
This is also super YUMS for seafood lovers! There is Japanese scallop, prawns and squids inside. It is mildly spicy with the sweetness of all the seafood.

Lastly, Gohan which is Nasi to us Malaysians! Asians must have their rice right??? No rice = No energy. Agree??? Put your hands up all rice people~
Sashimi Rice bowl
All sashimi lovers should be drooling over this picture. This bowl of rice is packed with salmon slices and big fish roes. Imagine many bits of fish roe oil bursting in your mouth!

Unagi Rice Box

For all Unagi lovers it is a must have! Rice topped with many many many slices of Unagi.

Ending this post with a collage picture of all the yummies. Till then, sayonara.
